Step 1: Gather role-specific information

Before prompting Claude, gather:

  • Job title and department
  • Key tools and systems they'll need access to (HRIS, ATS, project management, shared drives, etc.)
  • Who their manager is and who they'll work with
  • Any specific training or certifications required for the role
  • Key policies relevant to their role (remote work policy, expense policy, etc.)
